We listen, act, and transform
At Thera-Peace, we believe healing is possible — and that no one should have to face life’s hardest challenges alone. Our team offers compassionate, specialized care for individuals, children, and families navigating substance use, mental health disorders, and life transitions.
Our founder, Memory Nunez, LCSW, brings over 15 years of experience helping people manage severe mental illness, dual diagnosis, and complex trauma. With a passion for guiding clients toward healthier, more fulfilling lives, Memory integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic Theory to create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans. Her approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and collaboration, providing a safe and non-judgmental space for meaningful growth.
Thera-Peace is also proud to have two dedicated associates:
Cailey Avila, AMFT, who graduated from Pepperdine University and has extensive experience in residential substance use treatment, supporting clients in recovery with practical tools and compassionate guidance.
Katherine Lopez, AMFT, also a Pepperdine graduate, who specializes in working with children on the autism spectrum through ABA therapy and has supported parents and children in community-based programs.
Together, we offer a broad range of expertise — from addiction recovery and trauma healing to child development and family dynamics — so that every client feels supported, understood, and equipped to move forward. Whether you’re seeking help for yourself or your family, Thera-Peace is here to walk alongside you on your journey toward balance, resilience, and hope.
